But, if you love the countryside, and organic gardens with wild roses, rosemary, and lush grasslands – then you will love The Stone Cellar.
2. YOU’RE ALL ABOUT FINE DINING
If your dream is a fine-dining experience with intricate plating and bite-sized portions, our style may not be what you’re looking for. But if abundant, farm-to-table food makes you happy we might be for you.
3. YOU DON’T WANT TO DRIVE FAR
If you or your guests prefer a venue that’s centrally located and easily accessible without a scenic drive, this might not be ideal. Located about 40 minutes from Johannesburg and an hour from Pretoria, The Stone Cellar is an escape from the city.
4. YOU’RE NOT A FAN OF WALKING
Our chapel is located about 50 meters from the reception hall, connected by a scenic path, and this may be a consideration for those who prefer a venue with all spaces closer together.

Our venue can accommodate up to 150 guests. If your guest list exceeds this number, you may need to consider a larger venue.

If you’re expecting a one-stop shop with every vendor in-house, booking your vendors yourself might not work for you. While we provide a list of trusted suppliers, couples have the freedom to bring in their own vendors for most services.
11. YOU WANT TO GET MARRIED AND GET GOING
A weekend wedding in the countryside might feel overwhelming and you might prefer keeping it short and sweet. But if you are leaning towards making a weekend of it then we might be a match.
